Some of my previous work exposed me to the importance of pre fire building planning, but overall disaster resistance was not what I focused on. However, it appears we will all have a different kind of world climate in the future and our structural disaster resistance and resiliency stratagems will once again need to evolve to meet this requirement. Since a family home might be where we will need to make a personal stand against natural disaster, how can we design and inspect further disaster resistance and resiliency into the structures of the future?
